Working Student - Digital Twin & System Integration Developer

  • Automated BIM-to-simulation pipeline: IFC parsing via a self-developed CLI/UI tool (GitLab CI/CD) to place subsystems inside the Unity digital twin.
  • ONVIF server with NVR emulation and RTSP streaming (MediaMTX) to live-simulate security cameras on industrial VMS platforms.
  • LLM-integrated scenario engine: natural language is translated rule-based into JSON configurations for Unity simulations.
  • Modular Unity scene architecture (bootstrap, additive scenes) for scalable digital-twin deployments.

From public company data to 15,000 views in 24 hours

When I started KarriereLab, the idea was simple: take public company data, break it down into skills students can actually build, and package it as short-form video. This week one of those videos crossed 15,000 views within the first 24 hours. The lesson for me: technical depth and clear communication are not opposites - the combination is exactly what cuts through.

Starting as a Digital Twin Developer at Siemens Mobility

Excited to share that I joined Siemens Mobility as a working student in Digital Twin & System Integration! I get to work on the intersection of BIM/IFC data, Unity simulation and real industry protocols like ONVIF and RTSP - turning building models into living, testable virtual environments.

Winning the Software Engineering Award

Two semesters, one full Scrum process, countless reviews and retrospectives - and now: 1st place at the Software Engineering Award of Ulm University (sponsored by Liebherr) with our turn-based strategy game Battlefront Tactics, plus 2nd place in the AI tournament. Proud of the team and of how much we learned about building software together.
